CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our goal is to teach the children how important they are to Jesus.  We want the children to know who they are in Christ and to learn that the same Holy Spirit, which lives in adults, is also living in them.  We encourage them to minister to The Lord in worship and in prayer, and to learn to listen for His voice.  We strive to recognize the giftings in each child and encourage them to be bold and go forth with all that God has placed within them.  Our heart is the children live in the fullness Christ intends for them.

EVANGELICAL OUTREACH

Living Word Church is committed to reaching out to our local community.  We annually sponsor a fall neighborhood hotdog outreach where the neighbors enjoy free hotdogs, music, and the love of Christ.  Additionally, LWC partners with other organizations in the community for evangelical outreaches.  Together with O-Pen Son Riders Christian Motorcycle Associates, as well as other organizations, LWC sponsors an annual “Rally in the Valley” where the community comes together to rally for Christ.  This event has opened many hearts to receive salvation through Jesus Christ.  Also, LWC supports the local homeless shelter for men, Joshua’s Haven.

U-TURN YOUTH MINISTRY
“U-Turn Youth Ministry” is a ministry for youth ages 13 to 18.  The focus of this ministry is to provide an opportunity for each student to transform from “wanderers” into “warriors” for Christ. “To open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God…” Acts 26:18 (Amp)

MEN’S MINISTRY

The men of Living Word Church meet monthly for breakfast on Saturday morning.  At this time of fellowship, the men enjoy good food, both spiritually and physically, seasoned well with prayer and encouragement for one another.

Join us on Sunday morning before our worship service at our “He-Brews Café” to enjoy a delicious, light, continental breakfast and fellowship with our Living Word Church family.  All monies collected are used for our storehouse ministry.

VISUAL ARTS MINISTRY SUMMARY

The Visual Arts Ministry exists in order to enhance the visual and spiritual atmosphere of the worship experience. This would include the use of colors, symbolic objects, flags, banners, streamers, and silks.

“IN HIS STEPS”  MINISTRY DANCE TEAM

This is an extraordinary and beautiful group of men and women who express their adoration for the Lord through movement. These dancers are gifted and anointed, and in no way should be considered “entertainers!”

They minister regularly in the weekly services, and they have also had many opportunities to go to other local churches in the area where they have been well received. They are truly a blessing!

AUDIO MINISTRY

This ministry is responsible for the operation of the sound system for all services including evangelistic outreach events.  Additionally, this ministry maintains the sound equipment, as well as, records and duplicates services on CD.
