Living Word Church

MISSION STATEMENT

Living Word Church’s mission is to show God’s love through establishing relationships, providing pastoral care, and facilitating evangelistic outreach both locally and internationally.  Through worship, prayer, and the spiritual gifts, we will experience the power of God.

LIVING WORD CHURCH HISTORY

In September of 1996 Revs. Carol and Bill Missik were sent by Living Word Church in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania under Bishop James Erb to Brookfield, Ohio to plant a church.  For approximately five months the group met to pray in a home.  In April of 1997, the congregation moved to a former grocery market location where they worshipped for about five years.

The current building at 1109 East Street was purchased in 2003, shortly after the death of Pastor Bill.

SPIRITUAL COVERING/ AIM SUMMARY

Living Word Church receives spiritual covering through Antioch International Ministries (AIM).  This ministry is a relational network of ministers, churches, house churches and ministries brought together for shared wisdom, oversight, fellowship and encouragement.

AIM was started in 1994 from a desire God placed in the hearts of Bishop Jim Erb and his wife Jan.  Bishop Erb currently oversees this worldwide network of churches.
